Trans-Lux Corporation (NYSE Amex: TLX) has announced the formation of a new subsidiary company called Trans-Lux Energy. The new company will feature a comprehensive offering of the latest LED lighting technologies that provide facilities and public infrastructure with 'green' lighting solutions that emit less heat, save energy and enable creative designs. The products will have immediate availability. Eric Mackey, a seasoned professional in the systems integration and facilities management arenas, has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Trans-Lux Corporation and General Manager of the newly formed Trans-Lux Energy. Mr. Mackey will focus on developing distribution channels and key accounts for Trans-Lux Energy.

The newly formed Trans-Lux Energy Corporation headquartered in Norwalk, CT will be introducing a new line of 'green' LED lighting solutions designed to conserve energy, emit less heat and provide facility designers with creative lighting solutions. The initial product offering will include LED replacement bulbs that fit into existing fixtures, smaller and highly efficient LED bulbs for new construction, and innovative LED street lighting solutions.

Trans-Lux Energy's LED lighting solutions complement Trans-Lux Corporation's new LED Large Screen Systems and Digital Signage Displays, as well as the Company's established line of Trans-Lux DataWalls and Fair-Play branded Scoreboard Systems; the industry's leading line of digital displays for financial institutions, casino sports books, schools and universities. With a base of thousands of installations around the globe, Trans-Lux will cultivate new business development opportunities incorporating these lighting and display system technologies targeting the financial, sports and entertainment, gaming and leasing markets, as well as the private and public facilities market.
