iGuzzini illuminazione, a leading manufacturer of high-end architectural lighting headquartered in Recanati, Italy, will launch its first showroom in the United States at 60 Madison Avenue in New York City. Situated in a land-marked building overlooking Madison Square Park, the 4,700 square-foot space, which officially opens in May 2010, strongly positions the Italian manufacturer to become a solid leader in the American commercial lighting sector. With a global presence that includes 16 subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and North America, and an extensive network of exclusive distributors around the world, expansion to New York City represents significant growth for the 52 year-old company and a logical step in iGuzzini's international development.
"New York is a financial and cultural capital with a thriving architecture and design community," says Adolfo Guzzini, president of iGuzzini and a company founder. "Establishing a presence here allows us to better serve our existing American clientele and support our move into key markets throughout the US and North America."
The new showroom will be a place where clients can experience iGuzzini?s extensive catalog of products available for the North American market, including new lines that have only recently become available in the United States.
The company's staff of lighting experts will be on hand to advise clients in the selection of products and work one-on-one to develop customized lighting solutions.
"iGuzzini is committed to guiding our clients through all stages of planning and development in the lighting design process," says Adolfo Guzzini. "Our new showroom in New York will offer an environment where clients can learn and interact with our vast range of indoor and outdoor lighting systems while receiving top-level sales assistance and technical support."
iGuzzini's New York showroom will be run by iGuzzini North America, a joint venture between iGuzzini and the Sistemalux Group, which operates iGuzzini showrooms in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
